Jack makes an appearance

I knew Jack Seth would be making an appearance at some point, but didn't realise it wouldn't be until the very end of the book!
I was constantly wondering what had happened to him once he had killed Kiera in the Hollows - was alive, did the Elders kill him, or did he exist but didn't know who Kiera was or anyone of the Vampyrus species?
Thankfully, it was revealed that he existed in the pushed world and still had his memory of what happened in the Hollows and who everyone was!
However, I didn't think this was the way he would go. I thought that he would try and help Kiera make the right decision and prevent the skin-walkers from what they were doing now, as he wants the curse lifted. Surely he would have tried redemption in this world too?
